Sophomores and Junior will have current event quizzes on Friday.

World Civilizations- Students will have a test over chapter 14(Imperialism) on Tuesday December 6th. Then they will begin to review for the semester test.

American History- Students will have a test over chapter 14(World War I) on Wednesday December 7th. Then they will begin to review for the semester test.

Eighth Grade Social Studies- Students will have a test over Chapter 9(Jeffersonian Era) on Thursday December 8th. Then they will begin to review for the semester test.

Week 11/14/11

Current Events quizzes on Friday for the 10th grade and 11th grade.

American History- Students are studying the Progressive Movement. Test is scheduled for 11/21.
Students will have a videoconference with a Pearl Harbor survivor on Friday!

World Civilizations- Students are studying the Second Industrial Revolution. Test is scheduled for 11/21

Eighth Grade Social Studies- Test over chapter 7 and the Constitution on 11/15. Students will begin studying the early political parties and Washington's presidency.

8th grade Social Studies- Studying the American Revolution, students will have an open notes test over chapters 5 and 6 on Friday

American History- Chapter 11 Test 10/20 (Gilded Age politics and Populism)

Eight Grade Social Studies- students are finishing an interactive game on the causes of the American Revolution

Week of 10/10/2011

Current Events quizzes for American History and World Civ. on Friday.

World Civ.- students are finishing up poster projects on the culture and history of Asia after the time of the Renaissance.  We will then begin our study of the French Revolution.  Students will be given a list of individual projects to complete for this unit.

American History- students will continue studying the politics of the Gilded Age and the rise and fall of Populism

Eighth Grade Social Studies- We are studying the causes of the Revolutionary War.  Students will participate in an interactive computer game in the lab on Thursday and Friday.  This will allow them to see how individual choices led to the American Revolution.

American History: Chapter 9/10 Quiz is scheduled for 10/10
World Civ.- Poster Project over Asian societies, due 10/11
Eigth Grade Social Studies- Test over Chapter 4 (French/Indian War) 9/29. We will then begin causes of the Revolutionary War.

Week of 9/19/2011

Junior American History students are working on a poster project about the Gilded Age.  This will be due Monday 9/26.

World Civ. students are studying The Enlightenment and the Scientific Revolution.  The test will be 9/27.

Eighth grade social studies students are studying life in the colonies and the French and Indian War.  The Test will be 9/28.

World Civ.- A test is scheduled for chapter 7 on 9/16.

American History- Chapter 8 Quiz on 9/16

Eighth Grade Social Studies- Chapter 3 Test on 9/15 (open notes)

Students will receive 1 point on their average if parents attend Back to School night on 9/13.

Drama Club will begin September 21.
